One time my girlfriend and I were being dumb and I like to do this thing where I’ll gasp and then say everything I’ve done once I’ve done it so I leaned over and kissed her and was like “gasp I kissed a cutie!” and her immediate response was “you did kiss a cutie” but she doesn’t think so high of herself so immediately she realized what she said and got all cute and hid her face in a pillow and since I’m a psych major she claimed then and to this day that I used my psychology powers on her

I literally overcame self esteem issues by making ironically over-arrogant claims because even if you’re joking about something a lot you start to believe it and that can totally work in a good way if you let it
They’ve done studies and the “fake it till you make it” mindset actually works and if you keep up a mantra you come to believe it after a time. It actually is how I came to really love myself.

New autopsy of gunned-down unarmed Black man Ezell Ford raises major questions
A new autopsy report released by the Los Angeles Police Department Monday in the police shooting of an unarmed black man in August is raising a lot of questions in an already-problematic case of potential police brutality.
When LAPD officers fatally shot 25-year-old unarmed black man Ezell Ford in South Los Angeles on Aug. 11, police claimed that Ford, who had a history of mental illness, had struggled with the officers and tried to steal one of their guns. According to the police, this led to their shooting Ford in self-defense.
But the L.A. Times reports that new autopsy results released on Monday indicate that Ford was shot three times, with individual bullets entering him on his right side, his left arm and his right back. The last had “muzzle imprint,” indicating it was shot from close range.
